Best Free Software To Use?

I'm using so far:
Ccleaner
Defraggler
Avast! Anti-Virus

Any recommendations on any other software? I've been using piriform products for years. I'm looking for a registry defragger too. I don't know if Avast is hard on resources, but enlighten me please ;P.

Hi

The apps you have are fine, Avast is ok on resources in its version 5 (so update to v5 if not already), Microsoft Security Essentials is very lite on resources and gets good reviews, i have Avast on my desktops and MSE on laptop/netbook.

Personally defragging the registry is not going to give you any noticable performance and could actually corrupt it, so registry apps are best left alone, the registry is not that big to fragment much, ccleaner registry clean is all you really need to do, but again its not a performance enhansing thing but more a clean up to aid in not having issues with installing apps etc

but if you want a reg defrag app these are ok
