    Hi Stephen

Do let us know your thoughts on VSDC Free as we do tend on occasion to get some who ask what's a good free video editor with a good range of functions, I dont tend to use video editors as no need to yet! *famous last words*

I did play around with VSDC and it imported the video. I am more used to a timeline so I wasn't really where I wanted to be. I had a little more ease with Movie Maker. The Ms program. It's taken me to

I used VSDC and was getting the feel of it. Added 2 sound files and found the title sequence.
Was a little confused with the optimum settings. Uploaded the file to Movie Maker to resize the file size - From 400 MB to 60 MB.
It is slightly different from the first. But it does end well.

I think I have done enough testing.
    Bye for now,

Essentially 48Khz 320kbs mp3 so that I can edit it in adobe audition 1.5 and put it back.

Used VLC to rip audio. Added some music. Following a little crafting in VSCD. Kept video full size and added new soundtrack. copied it to mkv full resolution file. Opened this file in Movie Maker and used the Youtube conversion.
    To create.

    Best wishes,

Couldn't stop when I heard the noise outside.
Imported it into Movie maker. Trimmed it and exported for Youtube.

    I think that's enough.
    Good night.

Why don't you use Adobe Audition to rip the CDs?

Hello Eldon, I would like to extract the original audio from the video file. Using VLC media player - #6 I can create a mp3 file of the soundtrack. Unfortunately it is 44100 against 48000 which I thought the video file used. Maybe I should have set a different conversion...
Audition will rip cd's but it is very slow.
It is good for multi-track editing.

I use Adobe Audition 1.0 which was released in 2003. And it even works in Windows 7! You can extract audio from video, but Audition doesn't support many video formats.
There's no freeware program better than Audition - even the almost 13-year old version I use is a superior product.
