Best Hook Up For DVD Ect...

    Just bought a LG Super Slim ATSC Intergraded Tuner TV and i'm now hooking up a LG DVD player and Direct TV Receiver (not High Def.) Is the S-video or AV inputs the best? Using a Sony receiver w/optical cord for sound. Any input appreciated. Been 17yrs since i bought a tv and this thing has HDMI imput on it. Is that good and how much will that cable cost? Thanks!
