I've been using cyberpatrol 7.5 for the past few years. I was wondering if there is any other product out there to filter (porn etc) that is better than CB and costs less?

    Thanks,
    Connie

i'm sure glad i found this using the search function.

is it common knowledge that the Content-Blocking feature of IE7 is totally worthless? You can create a password and turn on the Content filter full-bore [nothing allowed], set it properly, exit out of all IE7 functions, go back to IE7 and simply do "www.playboy.com", and up it pops.... all the skin, words, searches, everything.

K9 Web Protection might be what you're looking for, it's a content filter and parental control and it's free for home users.

There's one called NetNanny that was around 2-3 years ago. I'm sure there's new versions available. I don't know about cost or links (sorry) but I know of several families that use it and swear by it.....
