best laptop for math applications

    i'm taking upper division college math so that i can teach high school math. what is the best laptop for me? thanks ahead for any and all help!

    well, since you're in a classroom environment where real estate is very much treasured, i'd suggest a small 5lb-ish or less laptop, most likely with a pentium m processor. here are some places to check out for small laptops:

    you may also want to consider tablet pc's as well if you have the money. it'll make it easier for you to write down the math function symbols and proper notation. iirc, gateway has a nice 12" tablet that you can consider.
