   I have an old PC laying around, so I thought I should install *nix on it. Which is best for noobs, Unix or Linux. What build? Can you give me a link? Thanks for your time.

   Personally I like this one http://www.kubuntu.org/ BUT a few other of the guys here use *nix way more than I do.
   
   as for noobs, it has a live CD you can trial first before installing on your HD to see if you like its layout and apps, and if you wish to install it, it is very straight forward.
