The three places I know of to search are TigerDirect, NewEgg, and GoogleProducts.

I've found some decent products/prices, but no screaming deals thus far, and thought maybe I was missing something.

    What I've found so far:

    $10 -- 4gb (Class4) -- Kingston (available last night; "currently unavailable" now)

    $11 -- 4gb (Class6) -- Transcend ($11.50 + free s&h)

    $19 -- 8gb (Class2) -- SanDisk ($13.00 + $6 s&h)

    $16 -- 8gb (Class4) -- Kingston

    $18 -- 8gb (Class4) -- Kingston

    $24 -- 8gb (Class4) -- Kingston

    $32 -- 12gb (Class4) -- Panasonic

    $32 -- 16gb (Class4) -- HP

    $35 -- 16gb (Class2) -- Transcend

    $35 -- 16gb (Class4) -- Kingston

The purpose for this SDHC card would be supplemental storage for my netbook. It has one of the solid-state hard drives, and it's only 15gb.

    Thanks in advance.

I have an eeepc netbook and use Kingston and SanDisk sdhc cards in the slot.
Currently I have an 8GB Sandisk, class 2 in the slot with 4 movies on it. I watched a movie one evening and even though class 2 is slower than 4 or 6, I didn't have any hiccups watching the movie.

Office Max has the same card for sale this week for $24.99 so if you can get it for $19, that's good. Also $16 for the Kingston 8GB class 4 is good too.

Thanks for the thoughts, guys. I think I'm going to end up going w/ the 8gb (Class4) Kingston.

Comes out to $18.74 after everything's said and done. I'm considering storing all of my data on it and leaving the ssd for just the OS (WinXPhome) and programs.

I'd assume the answer is "yes" because it's not functionally much different than a USB stick, but does anyone know if I can encrypt it with TrueCrypt?
