Best Way To Speed Up Windows 10

What is the best way to speed up windows 10 on older computer i3 without having a monitor button at the top of my screen telling me about disk access?

 

That button at the top of your screen tells us that you have utilities starting with your system that you don't need and can't afford. you need to eliminate all unnecessary startup items. Take a pic of the Startup tab in Task Manager and post it. You are never going to get snappy performance with an i3 system but there are a couple of things you could do that would transform it - swap the hard disk for a SSD and bump the RAM up to 8Gb. Both cost of course.

 

Hello, sorry to intervene but I have an Acer Aspire A3 with 256gb SSD & 8gb RAM, I should add that I have 2 HDD External Hard Discs plugged in and I have a startup time at 1:14 minute, is that good enough, the boot time is measured by BTS.

 

Made me curious, checked my Last BIOS time in Task Manager: 6.5 seconds
No idea if that is good, but my laptop seems pretty snappy...

 

Mine does also feel quick but I have nothing to compare it to.

 

Tested my Toshiba L55 laptop i5 8GB and 860 Evo SSD, with BootRacer Free 7.90.0.590, Windows 10 Home latest, time to ready:
45.515 seconds
