Better Laptop (Dell or HP)

I am getting my sister's employee discount on a laptop...

So I am looking at the Inspiron E1705 or the HP dv9000 (z or t)

I really like AMD...and Dell doesn't have a 17" in AMD...but they do have the dual core at 2.16...

HPs is about the same price with similar features but I think that Dell makes a better display which is important for me....

I like the 64 bit with the AMD but I probably realize by the time I will be able to fully utilize it on my laptop I will be upgrading anyways...

I always have a well above average desktop so I basically need the laptop to handle solid tasks on the road but also let me splurge when I need to (gaming on the plane, USB HDTV, some pretty heavy database work, etc...)

XPS is overpriced to me, as if I was to do that I would rather get the M2010 which is just ridiculous overkill for what I need (and that's tough to admit)

Need some opinions...

Both have 12 months financing...
Both have the same build dates and upgrades and stuff...
