BF Vietnam problem

Ok I hope sombody can help me out with this. I bought battlefield Vietnam awhile back and it worked great until my 3 year old daughter got her hands on the game cd. So the last couple days I have tryed to find a no cd patch for the game. That was the easy part I downloaded the patch and opened it with winrar and took the bfvietnam.exe file and replaced it with the original file in the program files folder. I was told this is all I would have to do but it still comes up with please insert cd-rom. Can you guys help me out with this problem??

 

To my knowledge there isn't a NO CD thingy that actually works. I do know that if you contact EA, they will hook you up with a new cd, as long as you can prove you purchased the original.

I had bought GamesXCopy from 321 Studios before the government took that away from us too & made a backup copy to use all the time, instead of the original.
