I don't see why it wouldn't run it. It's newer than most of the cards mentioned & I believe it has the shaders needed. Reckon you could get the demo & see. ;) Seems to run just fine on my machine, although I can't run it with all the eyecandy cranked. :(

Yeah it should as long as you have the newest driver set. That list is pretty stupid, they need to specify all the cards since the 6600GT is part of the 6600 family which is AGP and PCI which is listed in there. 6600GT isnt very playable on everything maxed http://forums.majorgeeks.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Update your sound card drivers / motherboard drivers to get everything up to date too.

Hey guys...will an ATI Radeon X300 PCI-Express work good on Battlefield 2. I know the card is supported but I wanted to know if it would run good, with good graphics?

Eh... Mine does to a point, I have to switch some stuff around Mostly all medium settings with X-300 but none the less all medium isn't much different from all high so, It's better than all low ^^.

If the card is a nv5500 PCI or AGP or PCI-E it doesnt matter, if it says it supports the 5500, then it supports it in all flavors.

It should be just fine. It won't be the best, high end amazing, but it should be fine. Heck I'm using a 9700 Pro on one machine and an FX5900 on another. I'm playing all the latest games with no issues. Can't go to the extreme, but very playable and looks good (to me).

Having 1GB of RAM might be helping me in this area though.

I run BF2 on medium settings. but I can only play well on a server with low ping (under 175). I've never had a problem finding a server, but I just ordered a new computer so I can play with high settings. xfx 6600gt is a great card but you will use all of it inBF2.

    other specs: xp2500
    1 gig ddr333
    audigy
    asus a7v333
    cable modem
