BF2 execution

Hi,

When I try to execute BF2, the screen goes black, as if it's going to open, but then it just closes.

I have restarted and all that, but I'm not sure what information I need to provide, so that's all I'm going to post.

that sounds like something that was happening to me one time. was it running fine thin you patched it and this started to happen?

 

I did my last patch probably over a month ago....

 

Download the full patch of 1.4 from www.multiplay.co.uk

I understand you'll get slower downloads, but there's conflicts with 1.4 and having the proper version that always works.

The one from multiplay works fine as I use it. Also, check your graphics drivers are up to date.

 

I just got BF2 and have the same problem? I tried the sound driver and vid driver no joy?
I am trying a new system now? It's Majorgeeks falt, I want to join in on the Major Kill team.. hehe

 

I got 1.4 heaps long ago, and also, I played BF2 just the other fine.

I'm going to look for new vid drivers.

 

I installed the NVidia Drivers that came with the BF2 Disc, it works now, but it's a bit slower than it was before.

I had OmegaDrivers before, I believe it was up-to-date, but I'm not sure.

 

Should get the latest ones off www.nvidia.com

They work fine.

 

I installed on a new system, went to reg and now it won't , I did it from the other system? Always something to mess with my life.. It must not like the old gforce3 card in the old system.. new on is a 6500gt and is faster. Will I be able to go online with you guys if I can't reg this puter?

I had BF 2 installed and it worked OK
Today I got BF2 SF and installed and had the same thing happen on both games
I downloaded 1.4 full patch and installed and everything worked OK
Did not have to do anything else
All drivers are up to date and I did not register it
I got patch from official website
