Bf2 Is Choppy Since Upgrage Please Help!!

Hi All,

Can anyone please help my BattleField 2 game stop chopping up. I recently upgraded to an AMD 64 2800+ chip with an Asus MB K8U-X. Ever since the upgrade my BF2 has been choppy to the point of unplayable. It does it in single player to so I know its not my network. I have no other problems with my network at all. If anyone can please give me some advice on how to stop the chop it would be greatly appreciated.

KINGSTON HYPERX 1GIG 400 DDR PC3200
ASUS K8U-X MB
SEAGATE 7200 120GIG HD
GEFORCE 6800 GT OC BFG 256MB

 

Maybe your video settings in the game are too high? What are they set at now? I have also heard of people having problems with it if they dont have it set to the same resolution as there desktop for some reason.

New mobo and chipset maybe you need to hunt down the latest drivers?

Go to the games website and search for any latest updates (patches).

Check your vid card drivers and search for updates.

 

Also BF2 loves 2GB of memory. 1GB is not enough to run the game at highest settings without choppiness.
