Zone alert popped up a message saying that the IP address 192.168.1.100 is trying to access the internet. I did a good search on this address and it looks like a file called Big Brother is on my computer, it not connecting to this address but it sounds to me like some sort of wierd tracking file where people can monitor your usage. Anybody know anything about this file, and how can I get it off my computer, I have no idea what folder it's in, all my search results aren't coming up with anything.

I have a wireless router hooked up to my roommates computer. I'm on the Linksys network if that has anything to do with it.

I have never heard of this thing, and from reading their website, I have no idea what that thing is on my computer or how it got their. It says on their website that they don't advertise, but I didn't download it and it's trying to log my computer into their network.

I think your looking at this as some hack or spyware attempt, and your going in the wrong direction, odds are you should allow it and this is not a problem.

Type 192.168.1.100 in your browser, it sounds familiar and I think it could be the default address for setting up your router. Optionally, check your setup guide or download it from there and look for instructions on setting up your router to see if that is the address to type in. If you have not done this step, then you need to setup your router and become more familiar with it.

Okay, your right, it looks like the software Big Brother is made by Quest software and I don't think it has anything to do with the IP I put in, that was just another website using Big Brother to monitor the network that I am connected to through that server. lol, Thanks for your help.

My pleasure, no reason not to be a bit paranoid nowadays. Stop back again!
