Big Fix

    Hello all,
    I have just had a message from Bigfix that the site is closing down at the end of this month :cry so where can I get my security patches for xp, with out have to resort to the Microsoft police???

    We don't support piracy here, so if your reffering to a site that allows you to download patches with out validation, we wont be of any help sorry.

    BigFix is legit Cman, and seems that they are discontinuing their freebie software in order to concentrate on their corporate versions sadly.

    I only came into contact with this software once years ago but it did do what it said, keep your PC upto date, plus alerted you on other issues, drivers etc

    @dingledongle, wether you install a patch or update from Bigfix its still a Micosoft fix, so wether you get it from Bigfix or direct really makes no difference, but what I would suggest is to set Autoupdate to Download but Let me Decide wether to install, this way you can get the updates that are being added.

    There are a few websites that offer the MS updates, but again they are same updates that MS issue and one of the sites actually links direct to the MS site for these!
