Decided to upgrade my monitor from a 16 to a 27 inch puppy thinking I could work with a four or so readable windows open at the same time. All set up but feel like somebody sight impaired. I now have a bigger screen with bigger window and still need to superimpose open documents like a deck of cards with only the edges showing. When I make the windows smaller, the content stays large and I can only read small segments with every scrolling. Not what I had hoped for. Is there a solution? Isn't there some way to tame the windows?

    Thanks for getting back to me. It's a Samsung SF35 with a 27 inch screen, 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz

You need to reduce the zoom level in the browser settings.

    Which browser are you using?

Using Mozilla Firefox. Am setting the zoom level to 67% which seems to be just about right, but whenever I open a new tab, it comes up at the 100% default. Is there a way to change the default to 67%?

Unlike IE, Chrome and Opera, there is no way to set a default global zoom level. Try this:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/zoom-page/

Thanks Just Playin. Looks like that's exactly what I was hoping for. Will install the add-on before I close down for the night.

I use an addon called nosquint. It hasn't been updated in almost 4 years but it works on FF ESR v. 45.6.0 and Palemoon v 26.5.0
I can change the full zoom % and text zoom% on a site by site basis. It remembers your preferences for up to 6 months on a site by site basis. So basically you set it once and when you return to the site, the zoom level is what you set it at.
