Big problems with Removing Programs

Everytime I try to remove a program, I get an error saying that "Install.log" file is missing. This happens with virtually every uninstall, whether I use the packaged uninstall program, or the Add/Remove Programs menu in Control Panel. I'm running Windows XP Home, but since the OS came with the computer (Sony Viao PCV-RX572) Microsoft.com just tells me to go to Sony support. Can anyone help me with this, perhaps a way to reinstall the .log file?

It sucks when the installer for an app is broken.

Add/remove uses the third party uninstaller to remove it.

its possible those uninstallers have been broken.

Only thing I can offer is the windows installer cleanup utility....

    Get msicuu.exe from microsoft.com

It installs to start-all programs, and once you open it, any MSI app can be nuked from the registry altogether.

    Installshield apps are SOL however.

    Re: Adrynalyne...dude!

I thought uninstaller apps had to be there before the fact, not after the apps have been installed.

    I'm probably wrong.
