I'm getting red X's in black boxes where there should be images in my AOL emails. Not a problem in my Outlook Express emails. And while most images show fine when I surf sites via Internet Explorer, some images yield red X's.

AOL says it's not their problem, which appears to be true. Anyone with any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Have you checked in IE that in Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > that Show Pictures is checked under Multimedia? ( or in the same tab click Default to rest IEs setting back to default )

also delete your temp internet folder and cookies.

I'm getting red x's where images should be in AOL also. I JUST (2 hours ago) downloaded IE 9.0 and that is when the problem started. Did what you stated above - didn't work. Any other ideas?
