Billed!

Hello, I believe I have a spyware virus or program running on my computer. It is an old compaq that runs off the windows 95 or 98, I am not sure. the computer is my parnets and there is some type of dialer that has charged us over 130 dollars on our phone bill for callin to the UK. I don't know what to do, I delete it and it comes back again. What it is doing is that it brings up a page that says porntracker or something and then disconnects our connection to the internet and it dials from the computer on the phone line I guess. It is very annoying and expensive. I don't know what to do and I saw you helped Alasken(I think) and the help would be much appreciated! Thank you.

Oh yea, I tried to download the Hijackthis software and it opens and saves as a word documnet, why is that happening?

 

I'll leave it to experts to help you get rid of it, but contact your phone co. and have them block out the offending phone numbers. It'll at least save you the bill until it's fixed.
