Binary files Download problem

when i download from a site Software I rerquire
they always send it in the form of a Binary file
WHY??

These are all *.exe but , of course, impossible to execute

I'm confused :confused Perhaps you could explain the problem a bit more clearly. What do you mean by "in the form of a binary file"? Then you say the files are .EXE files, but do not execute... I'm not sure I understand this either. If they are binary files with an .EXE extension, they may be self-extracting ZIP-type files, or they may be dependent on a different program to actually run them.

 

Well, up to now always got a message to Save or Run
but lately only getting
You have chosen to open*.exe
which is a Binary File
Would you like to save this file?
( no option to Run )

I am making progress tho'

Some files do need WinZip or other type programm
to get them to execute
Tho this doesnt always work
& get I a Windows message saying that
this is not a Windows type application
