binkw32.dll not found

When I try to play gears of war I get a message that says binkw32.dll not found

I’m running windows vista any ideas for a fix?

 

Has something to do with your Bink video player. Most games would come with all the software needed to run the videos, but maybe GoW neglected this.

Try downloading http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm the RAD video tools, if that doesn't work, then I'm not sure what will.

Thanks for the quick response - I tried the blink video thing and no change
Then I found a thread for someone else who said they used the short cut in the vista games folder and not the CD start up and it all works yippeeeee

This may have been a vista issue in that case.
