BIOS and hard drive won't start

I've been having trouble with a trojan called Win32:trojano 1375 or something very similar to that (can't check it exactly now). This morning, I found a warning from Avast that it had found another spawning of it, so I told it to delete and then shut down the computer.
I came back about ten minutes later and tried to turn it on but when I turned on the power, the fan started running, but no hard drive spinning, no BIOS beeping, no light on my optical mouse. The power and reset buttons on the front of my PC do nothing, though the hard drive light is on. I had to turn off the power supply to restart the computer, but with the same result. I have no idea what's going on, if anybody has experienced this, or recognizes it, I would love any type of help or advice.

I am(was) running Windows XP with Service Pack 2, a Shuttle Spacewalker AV18 Motherboard with an FC-PGA2 Celeron 1.3GHz Processor. I've got 384 MB of SDRAM.

No Post, No Beep. 2 things come to mind:

1. Reset your CMOS, pull the CMOS battery and leave it out for a few minures then put it back in.
2. Check your video card, it may be loose or the card could be bad.

 

Thanks for the advice, but that wasn't it. Tried both of those. Video card is a GEForce2 if it matters. I've been trying to clean the dust out too, but I don't know if that is making a difference. Any other possibilities?

 

Bad CPU, MoBo, PSU. Any of those could be the culprit.

 

yeah thers a problem in one of the Hardware .. ur Bois maybe damaged

best thing u can try is replacing the PSU or Motherboard and see if it works
