Im fixing a compaq presario 6000. when i turn the computer on it makes a short beep that repeats its self really fast and doesnt stop. I figured the bios needs to be flashed but i have no idea how to do that... theres no jumper . I removed the cmos and put it back in but it didnt fix the problem. If you have any tips please let me know... thanks

Make sure that everything is connected to the board correctly. Pay particular attention to the power cables to your on/off switch. Double check your jumper settings against the Owners Manual.

Before saying the motherboard is shot, first try a different power supply, then memory, then cpu. Also, try removing all the expansion cards out, except for the video card (unless this has onboard video).
