BIOS Completely Screwed - Help Please!

I've been struggling for days with the "BIOS Not ACPI Compliant" error message when trying to install vista on to a separate partition. I've got the latest version of Phoenix BIOS 4.60 and reading some forums gave me the idea that I had to fiddle with the BIOS setup (parallel port allocations & things).

I had no joy there so I just reset all BIOS to default, saved and rebooted, now I can't even access the setup options screen! I just get the black dos screen, then a RAM counter, then it just hangs. It still displays "Press F2 to enter setup" at the bottom, but pressing this just changes the text to "Entering Setup ..." then it just hangs again.

How can I get into the setup screen again?

 

Try unplugging the PC and removing the CMOS battery for 5 minutes. Then putting battery back and plugging back in and starting.

 

Right I'm on to it. CMOS battery - what does it look like?

OKAY! I found something that looks like a Sony 50c coin and took it out.:confused

 

That's it. Make sure the power cord is unplugged as well.
