BIOS Fan Settings

I've noticed that in my BIOS, there are options that read something similar to "CPU Fan Mode" and "System Fan Mode" - by default, they are set to automatic, but they is also a full on option. What will this do, and what are the effects?

Never had a BIOS with those features. CPU Mode would refer to the connector the CPU HeatSink Fan is plugged into and System Fan refers to a fan mounted to the case and plugged into the Mother Board. Someone else here will probably have more exact infor for you. Guys?

My system runs pretty hot and I was just wondering if Full On mode any any advantages over Automatic.

 

It'll most likely cool your rig down at the cost of noise. What motherboard/CPU do you have and how hot is hot?

 

My core is at 55 celsius.

 

55C is getting up there but not bad, can't say anymore as you didn't post more info.

Is there a way I can control my fan's RPM manually? I tried full on mode and it made my fan run (loudly) at 4000+ RPM and my system was drastically cooled. I think 2000 RPM would be good.

These settings are for speed control fans to control noise. Full sets the fans to full speeds for maximum cooling. Full should be used if heat is a problem.
