    Ok, here is my situation.

I have a M2N68-LA (Ivy8) - Model Board, I was updating the bios using HP's sp40912 software (Which you can only access through windows) when my PC locked up - Now I am stuck at the

    Award Bootblack BIOS v1.0
Copyright (c) 2000, Award Software, Inc.

    BIOS RUM checksum error

Now, I know how to create a bootable ISO cd - (I do not have a floppy drive) - But I cannot find the .rom file for my bios - I have searched and search - I tried looking for it through HPS bios software sp40912 but it's hidden - All I need is the .rom file
for the M2N68-LA (IVY8) Board - there are 4 other models of this board, but I need the one for the IVY8 I'm pretty sure it wont work other wise (hasn't so far)

If anyone can some how extract the .rom file so I can load it onto a bootable ISO cd to flash my bios again - I will pay you on paypal! $20!!! it's cheaper then buying a new MOBO!!! HELPP!! IM SO CLOSE!! <3

The software can be downloaded here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...dlc=en&cc=us&os=2100&product=3461438&sw_lang=

    Hello,
Well, if you are absolutely sure that is the correct file, I opened it up in Winrar because it is a self-extracting executable. I zipped it up and uploaded it. No charge necessary. :-D

    Hi markholdem and tgell,

You can take a look at post #12 in this thread it may be helpful. The .rom used on that CD is the Ivy5.14, you will find in tgell's zip file, renamed to ivy.rom. There is a link to screens you will see in Awardflash.exe that might be helpful.

Feel free to ask any questions about making your own CD. If you use mine make sure you type the file name ivy.rom in all lowercase letters.

Thanks sach2. I remember that you had a number of posts concerning the recovery of an ivy BIOS, including making a bootable CD.
