BIOS Issue M8000n

Hello,
Long story short I have had an issue with the dreaded sp37190.exe file. I have the 513.rom file and the awdflash.exe file already. I don't unfortunately, know how to create a bootable cd with these files or a usb or anything else. Unfortunately my son has a college project due and until he can boot the computer he is in hot water!

You'll have to use some type of image burning software - ImgBurn is a good one, and there are other good freebies in the Backup section.

I tried to use UltraISO but I received an error on my other computer. I am not at the computer right now so I will post the error when I get home. I tried to follow these steps here: http://www.biosflash.com/e/bios-boot-cd.htm is that accurate? This seems to be one of the only things I have never done for a pc.

 

Looks pretty standard to me, but what kind of model/type motherboard is it? Better make sure you've got the correct BIOS version for your machine.

And, try another burning software: unzip the files to a location, then burn the resulting files to a disk as an image. I don't know why UltraISO didn't work, but files are files: the burning software shouldn't care what they are.

 

M2N68-LA is the model. I think the 513.rom is the right file. Seems to be right by going off of this thread. http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=143930

Yeah, that would be my next step: monkey around with the extraction quirks, get a good image burned to disk, and you should be good to go.
