Bios password problems??

How do i change the Bios password on this pc as i was given it to use.If i try to play any radio station or download things i get told you are off line but how do i type this thread if i am of line and i can get into my email no problem.This is why i am thinking thats its a bios problem.

 

Do I take it you dont know the current password for the bios?

It doesn`t sound like a bios problem anyway. I would think its an issue with your browser. What browser are you using?

I would make sure you have an up to date version of your browser, (could try re-setting the browser to default settings.)

Are you using SP2 XP?

Thanks for your reply,i have xp sp2 pro up to date with IE6 and i have now twisted someones arm for the bios password so thats sorted.I also have firefox as of yesterday so i tried virginradioclassicrock.co.uk but firefox told me that the plugin from windows media player performed an illegal operation.When i go into IE i have a message saying iexplore.exe then it shuts my explorer down when i clear it,i cant get in to the settings of IE as its in chinese and i cant read chinese yes i am in china now, i have asked some one in the office to read it for me but they dont know how to reset its default on the browser,so it looks as i will have to find someone who knows how to reset its default.I am a brit working in china so my virgin radio is a life line from home.

 

i'm rather new at this so please bear with me. thanks in dec i purchased my first comp a dell 530s desktop. its not my problem at our church bazzar i bought a dell inspiron laptop 1100 no batt or charger it was pretty rough due to the fact that it was donated i have no clue who owned it. dell support in india makes me want to go postal. all i need is someone to please help me reset the primary or administrator password. i have registered it in my name as owner with dell however habib wants the zipcode from the site that it was purchased from. psyhic im not. can someone please help this old man. thanking you in advance alien ray
