bios update help

    Hi, i am trying to update my BIOS. I went to insyde website (thats the bios manufactor) but then no longer provide the end user support downloads or whatever... and next then i went to acer (my system brand) and they have a few BIOS updates but i do not know which one to choose... any help... what should i do

    What problems are you having?
    It is only a good idea to update the BIOS if the computer has a problem that a particular BIOS will solve.
    What is the exact model of Acer?
    Go into the BIOS and post what version you are currently running.

    To give you an idea, the last time Acer issued an update for my a0532h, was in 2011. Any machine over two years old, you are not going to see bios updates for them.

    As for the OP, what is the model# of the machine in question, and what does support.acer.com show as available bios updates.
