Bios Wizard this is bad or i am stupid

i am leaning more toward i am stupid.

i downloaded Bios Wizard
Gets your BIOS id number and provides information.

and my download deal tells me this could be a bad file (i figure ok it is jacking with my bios of corse my computer is going to tell me it could be bad) but once downloaded i try and run it and this warning

"failed authenticity check" "file has been changed or infected by a virus" "contact vender" so i am now running my anti virus program (it takes a minute) -the program wouldn't run- i got it from the bios section of downloads here. and am wondering if i am stupid or if this is bad?

you mean while you download and you got error or while installing this software? I would turn off antivirus to download or to install bio wizard.
I am not sure if you mean while running this program and you got that error, so try turn off antivirus or firewall during your download, install, and run this program.

 

yes, it probably will think its a virus, programs that probe BIOS etc. generally get flagged just in case they are doing mallicious things to the BIOS. Just disable it while you are running the program.

 

setup

the program downloads fine no problem, i shut off my AVG and it is -setup- that gives me the error message described above. maybe i will just try anouther program that does the same thing, there are allot anyways
