    I understand that new laptops do not even forward bootable cds any longer.

    Instead they have a hidden partition to complete this. Having a look at Phoenix site they offer the same service with their Firstware Recover Pro for $30.00

    Why are the oem manufacturers so pent up about .... ah never mind.

    What is the procedure to complete this? Or should say what can I anticipate?
