Bit confused

the ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe says it has 2-16x pci-e ports
the nvidia Nforce 570 chipset says it supports 8x Pci-e
Does that mean the board will be slowed by the chipset?

 

What it means is that when you put in two cards and SLI them, the bandwidth will drop to PCIe 8x for both cards. Single cards will run at 16x.

 

Does that mean that the Deluxe wire less and cross hair will run both cards at 16x? The 590 chipset says it has 16x suport

 

If a chipset has 16x sli support, then yes, it will run both cards at full bandwidth.

 

Ok so i won't get the MN2... and then there were two....
