   funky munky Staff Sergeant

   A good friend of mine had his motherboard go bad it was an old computer so he just replaced the whole system but he wanted to get all of his files off of his old hard drive so i put the hard drive into my external caddy but when i try to get into his files it says "access denied" how do i get around this?
   
   Both systems are/were on xp
