I got a notice from my ISP yesterday that one of my computers had an illegally loaded game, Worlds of Warcraft from a bit torrent site. One of the kids just moved back home, so I knew who's computer it was on. We deleted the bit torrent software and the game from the system. Some we deleted manually since there wasn't an uninstaller. I need to make sure his machine is clean before we put it back online.

Can you take a look at the logs and see if there is anything else I need to be concerned with? The computer is offline until I'm sure it's clean.

MGlogs.zip says it's 5474KB and is too larger to upload. I'll see if I can add it to another post

    Thanks!

Still saying the MGlogs.zip file is too large. I'm not sure how to get that to you.

Your logs aren't showing any malware.

Now go to the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 or 10 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.

Thanks Tim! What is the file size limit? If the MG log files are starting to get as big as mine was, how do we upload them without splitting them up? I've never had one I couldn't upload before.

Frankly, I don't know why your log was so big.

I just opened it. There's a file called newfiles.txt that was 33,008 KB. It looks like a listing of almost every file in the Windows folder and a bunch of other stuff. I'd like you to take a look, but I don't know how to get it to you. Even zipping just that files it's too large for the file upload section of the forum posts.

    Still shouldn't be that big.

Run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win7,or Win8 don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

Since I ran MGclean from your post above, those files no longer exist. I can reinstall mgtools and run it again.

The reason it is so big is you have a crap-load of:
    C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Protect .....files.

That begs the question, why are there so many of those entries and what do they actually do? I've never seen that many show up in one file as I've been helping people clean up their machines. I enjoy helping, I also enjoy learning.

My machine has 2 files and a folder with 3 more files in it. That's it... This other one has tons...

I think it is a cache of data from installed apps. You can delete them. Right click start, run, type in %appdata% then click on Microsoft, Protect and delete them.
