Their website was rather slim on details. If I find a file (or "torrent") that I DL using the BT client, how can I make it work? No matter what I DL, it gives me like a 5kb file on my desktop that doesn't do anything. is there an FAQ or some kind of instruction manual manual better than the one on the BT website?

I'm not sure why it's going on your desktop but I would open the file instead of saving it, assuming you have installed a Bittorrent client.
