BitTorrent question...

I'm currently downloading a torrent through BitComet which is ~400MB. The problem I'm having is that I'm getting a LOT of rubbish data.
The file is only bout 70% complete, but I've downloaded over 750MB! Thats more than 300Megs of crap!
Is that amount of rubbish data normal? If not, how can I reduce it?

 

if you could find anothers links for your files do it the files you are trying to download is maybe a FAKE.

If it is a FAKE it will never finish.....

 

I know the torrent is not a fake. There are multiple files in the torrent and a few of them have finished and are in good working order. It's just the amount of rubbish data that I'm getting with it thats bothering me.

 

If you Azureus you can block the IP's that send you bad data.

 

No, got BitComet. Dosn't really matter, it's nearly finished now. I was just wonderin why there was so much rubbish. I mean, for a 380meg torrent, I endedup d/l over a GB! Thats like 620megs of bad data.

 

Well get Azureus instead!
Its a bit of a resource hog but you can block bad IP's easily.

 

uTorrent automatically blocks those that send bad data.
It is extremely small (about 108 kb) and uses little resources.

 

I use uTorrent, it's simply good.
