BitWise IM

    This is an excellent IM program. I consider it the best of all the IM's. It's small, unobtrusive, free from ads and spyware, and secure from all the nasties of AIM et al. It's even portable. You can drop it on a USB flash drive and it runs great. It's very well liked by those who try it and use it, and it has Windows, Linux, and Mac versions. The author is very receptive to suggestions, and doesn't tolerate bugs or bloat. I've never seen a bug go unchallenged.

    My question is, why doesn't MajorGeeks carry this program? (I am 99% sure the author submitted it.)

    Are you the author by any chance? if not and you feel its good, then submit it yourself http://www.majorgeeks.com/submitdownload.php

    I do the same for apps I come across and feel that they may warrant inclusion on Majorgeeks, so get included and some not.

    Thanks for the reply. No, I'm not the author of BitWise by any stretch. I can only WISH I was that lucky. :)

    I'm just trying to figure out *why* BitWise wasn't accepted. It's an excellent program by any standard I can imagine. I find updates for all of my favorite programs here on MajorGeeks except BitWise. I have to go to the "Brand X" site to get it. ;)

    Submit it yourself Bob, who knows it may get accepted?

    also with the amount of new and submitted software no doubt the owners in Tim and Jim have been busy and depending on when/if submitted by the programmer, they may just not have gotten to it.
