    From this site: http://www.cnet.com/news/get-an-actiontec-screenbeam-mini2-continuum-edition-for-39-99/
Clicking on this link on the page "iClever BoostCube": http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QTE09SY
Will sometimes work as expected. Othertimes, and sorry, I have not determined the rhyme or reason for it, it will go to www.bizrate.com. The intermediate sites that I can see are rd.bizrate.com/rd and the same site with more detail in the URL:

    http://rd.bizrate.com/rd?t=http://w...=1995&af_rid=f293bba0c7905639b462e6c4a1d728de

If/when it gets to Amazon, the URL is:
    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QTE09SY...e=df0&creative=395129&creativeASIN=B00QTE09SY

This behavior is seen in both Opera (version 36.0.2130.32) and Chrome (Version 49.0.2623.110 m)

Other sites with other links do not or have not exhibited the problem.

Notes: TDSSKiller.3.1.0.9_27.03.2016_22.44.05_log is empty. MWB, RK, HMP, MGT logs uploaded.

Please let me know what else is required and if there are questions with the explanation of the problem.

Bizrate is to do with the ad company that is between the cnet and the amazon link. Third party redirects like this are fairly standard. It's not malware related. And I'm not seeing any malware in your logs. What I am seeing, however, is the fact you have way too much protection software installed:

Two of the below need to be uninstalled!

    • Ad-Aware Antivirus
    • Avira Antivirus
    • McAfee LiveSafe - Internet Security

Also you could do with cleaning out some temp files...

    Download Cleano 1.31

Download it to your desktop, Right click the cleano.exe file and run as admin > and place check marks in the boxes as follows (click on link below to see image)

    View attachment 148092
Click clean now and exit the program.

Thank you for your time and sharing your expertise. I felt I was chasing a ghost since I had not observed the bizrate page on any other machine on the network, and only saw 1 complaint about it on cnet. I more typically copy links and paste them into the URL box myself, avoiding code that redirects on middle mouse clicks or the right mouse click and new tab option.

I realize this next question may be a matter of digging through the abundant material in the forums. Is there a recommended tip/trick/technique for preventing these redirects? (thread URL/search terms/any help is appreciated.)

You can ask about that in the software forum. :)

    You are most welcome. ;)

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
