Bizzarre Dlink/Bigpond connection issue

G'day All,

Over the weekend just gone, our Bigpond supplied adsl modem died (won't power up), so decided on a D'Link 604GT.

Ran through the install without any problems, but no joy getting on the net, so rang isp support and they said we were connected and it was a router issue.

Rang D'Link support and modified some settings and can now get on the net....but as soon as we hang up, no internet.

I have no idea why, but when we are actually on the phone, we have net access, but as soon as you hang up, the signal drops out.

We can duplicate this consistently.

Can anybody help?

OS XP Home (SP2)
Splitter D'Link supplied (also used the telstra supplied and have the same problem)

 

Give some more detail eg. post the results of this here:
Start > Run > and type "cmd" and hit "Enter".
Type "ipconfig /all".
With your mouse, right-click in the DOS window and choose "Select".
Now paste that in your next post.
