I hope I have picked the correct place to post this. If not please move.

I had updated my facebook to the Timeline profile a few weeks ago, which today I decided I didn't want. I couldn't find how to revert back to a normal profile, so searched the internet and found instructions here - http://www.fbpurity.com/disable-facebook-timeline.htm

I followed the instructions for Chrome. I downloaded and installed the .bat file and installed F.B. Purity.

Now when I restart my computer it all appears to be starting normally until it gets to the desktop, which is black. I have tried system restore, but still getting the black desktop. I have tried a 'clean boot', still getting black desktop. I am getting by it by ctrl+alt+delete and stopping explorer.exe then starting it again.

I assume I need to try and undo the damage I have done by following the instructions to remove Timeline, but I don't know where to start. Can anyone give me any help or advice.

    Thanks :-o
