Been waiting for this for about 6 years then a I'm a month late:cool

Just started playing only couple of hours in it's the single greatest user created mod I've ever played.

It brings back all the old memories of half Life but with modern textures and effects and it just goes to show even on an ageing engine if you use the right effects and incorporate enough detail in the right places it can look amazing,some of the bright textures such as the luminescent radioactive waste is something to behold.

The difficulty which is one of the biggest complaints I've read in user reviews is delicious :drool Reminds me of the good old first person quake days when you had to work to proceed,there are not hoards of enemy to mow down and your bullets actually kill enemy's but it's still a fun challenge that takes skill. Why have recent games lost this simple formula?

I'm playing it on hard without quick saves and my only slight grievance is that the auto save checkpoints are slightly too close together similar to half life 2 so I'm not quite struggling enough to reach the next one but I've only encountered the first wave of soldiers 2-3 at a time apparently it gets much harder later and I'm looking forward to it
