Black Screen after starting Scrabble v. 2.0

First time here....bear with me

I can no longer play this game.

It will autorun, the menu screen appears but when I click start the entire screen goes solid black and I cannot exit except by shutting down manually.
There are no error messages (black screen so....and no beeps)

Don't know much but I did do a DirectX diagnosis and all was fine.
All drivers are updated.
Device manager says there are no conflicts.
System does fit the game requirements and it used to work perfectly.
All other games will work.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times.

Windows 98 SE
Nvidia TNT2 share memory, video, audio, modem and LAN
Intel Celeron 700 mhz Flip chip 128k 1.5v
128 MB PC 133 SDRAM
Quantum 20 GB 4500 rpm u100 IDE HDD
LG 8x4x32 CDRW

Hey,
have you deleted any games latly that may have had a file envolved with this program? do you think it could have somthing to do with not having enough RAM(random acessable memory) to run the program?
