Black screen at boot

    Hey, today i built my first computer..
    I have plugged everything correctly (I think :-o)
    Whenever i boot up the computer, the screen stays black.. I've tried 2 different screens
    Oh.. And the computer restarts once right after boot.. Only once

    Specs:
    ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z, Socket-1155

    Corsair HX 1050W PSU

    Seagate Barracuda® 7200.12 1TB

    Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 16GB CL9

    Intel® Core i5-2500K Processor

    ASUS GeForce GTX 570 1280MB PhysX CUDA


    Not sure what info you guys need.. so just post if you need more info

    Try attaching everything on the motherboard one by one. Until you hit a roadblock. It could be that your video card is kaput! It could also be something is loose. Make sure all connections are clean, if need be use an eraser to rub dirty connections. & than use the highest precentage of isopropyl alcohol to wipe the connections off. Allow it to dry for 10 minutes first of course. I hope your not just using the onboard video. Because it sounds like it's a video card problem. I would also go into the bios and make sure that the added video card is set to "enabled." While the onboard video card should be set to disabled.
