black screen /Catalyst Control Centre error message

Hi Majorgeeks,

On startup the screen is black; the normal screen comes up when I re-boot a few times. There's also an error message - "The Catalyst Control Centre is not supported by the driver version of your enabled graphics adaptor."

What is the driver version & date of your display adapter?

Go to http://support.amd.com/en-us/download and check if you have the latest available driver.

 

Hi,

There are 2 things listed under display adaptors:

1. ATI Mobility Radeon HD4300 series
driver version: 8.970.100.1100
date: 29/04/2013

2. Mobile Intel Series Express Chipset Family
driver version: 8.15.10.2869
date: 04/10/2012

The link you provided updated the driver and it's all working fine now.
