Black screen of everlasting death! Help me find a way out!

Hey there guys,

Tried to have a search for a fix for this but found nothing.

I have a Acer Veriton M464 desktop. Recently it stopped booting, I turn it on, the mobo fan spins and lights up, but there is no output to the monitor. There are definitely no loose wires not connecting the monitor, but I suspect this is a problem with either the mobo or the bios.

Additionally, no lights for the mouse or keyboard seem to light up which is a real bugger. I've had this problem before, and what I done was remove the power cable overnight, turn it on in the morning, and it worked fine again. However this temperamental issue is now back and not recovering with the same quick fix.

I found that Acer systems can sometimes react with a blackSOD if the bios needs updating/has become corrupted:

As you can see, this provides a well received fix that seems to match my issue. The only problem is I don't think USB ports are being detected as the USB keyboard/mouse are not lighting, hence making a fix from a usb drive difficult, and also that they "Rename the BIOS file to ZG5IA32.FD" - I have no idea what I should rename the updated bios drivers to.

This would be only a quick fix. May or may not work. Unplug the computer. Press the power button for 30 seconds. Plug the computer back in and reboot.
