Hi all i've heard that this website has people Masters in finding & solving tech problems.:wave

    I have Packard Bell i Xtreme 9600

When i play games (e.g. COD 4, COD WAW, and Gears Of War) screen goes black, but i can still hear the sound of the game and my PC is still running. Just wondering what is the problem.:cry

    I've talk with people:

Some say its the processor (i got intel core 2 quad Q6600), some say the driver (My drivers are all upgraded) and some say its the graphics card (i have Nvidia 9600GS), just dont know which is could be. And how do i solve it!!:confused

    My PC runs on Vista

If some one could help in answering i'd be greatfull:)

    Hi

What Service Pack is your Vista at?

Are you overclocking either CPU, Graphics Card or both? if you are set them back to default settings.

As for drivers have you installed the lastest Nvidia one 190.38 what I would be tempted to do is to, download this app to clean up GFX drivers and install it but dont run yet, then uninstall the GFX Driver you have now and then boot to safe mode (F8 at boot) and then run that Driver Sweeper app, to clean up any Nvidia GFX driver, then install the lastest driver.

Also as crashes could be in games linked to temps, what are your CPU, Motherboard and GFX cards temps?
