Black Screen

Good morning all,

I have an issue with my laptop which I hope someone can help me with.

A great proportion of the time when starting my laptop (windows 7) I will start bootup but then I get a black screen.

I have found that it boots off the battery fine, but when the power adapter is connected it will sometimes boot, but mostly it will black screen.

I have increased the minimum processor power option (via control panel-power options-advanced) but this has not improved the situation.

Any ideas???

Hi my fellow , what is the model of your laptop ? At the bottom of the laptop there is a label similar to this

what is your Operating System ?
Are you trying to connect an external monitor ? :wave

Thanks for responding.

The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C660-2D8
It is running Windows 7 Home Basic.

I am not trying an external monitor. It black screens on bootup then you have to force a shut down.
