    I want to see a video of someone throwing a paper airplane through it.

    Clever idea, Mr.Dyson, but $300 is a bit steep for a fan. Then again, considering the prices of his vacuum cleaners, why should I be surprised? No wonder he's a billionaire.rolleyes

    @rustyjack
    When my sister was studying to get her nursing license she told me what happens to the, um, affected parts, of a guy who tries to do that with a vacuum cleaner. She gave me details, and they made me cringe. If that blade-less fan is anything like that... you really don't want to. Really. The damage is severe, and permanent.

    Well, I suppose some might resort to that. :) Me, well, I'd rather be lonely, yet intact. :-D

    :-D With you I'm afraid to even guess . . . but I am intrigued :p

    I have no idea what to think about this technology. Just seems wrong . . . somehow unnatural . . . like, "Dude, where are the blades!"

    The advertising industry comforts me in their unchanging allegiance to the fact that you can sell more crap with a hot chick and a device, then with a device alone . . .

    Maybe if she was actually hot... rolleyes

    She has flat and frizzy hair, a very strained and unnatural smile that just screams "please let's get this over with!", bags under her eyes, and a mediocre chest. Hot? Please...

    It was more of an allegory then an actual example. Plus, the gal depicted resembles my cousin Stacy, who has enough issues as it is . . . please do not add to them.

    Sex sells.

    ..but ya pretty neat invention with the fan not so sure about the sex toy part though lol Never really pondered getting a hummer by a fan or a vacuum for that matter. :-D

    There's a reason for that fans work just fine,how can he be disappointed with a fan? I mean you turn it on and it blows air at you,doesn't that tick all the boxes?

    "Their spinning blades chop up the airflow, causing annoying buffeting. They're hard to clean. And children always want to poke their fingers through the grille. So we've developed a new type of fan that doesn't use blades," he told London’s Guardian newspaper.

    There's a reason the fan blades are so big its to accelerate the air slowly along the slope of the blades reducing noise,it still uses a small fan in the base which will be noisy when compared to a similar airflow bladed fan and REALLY hard to clean due to the airflow through that small area at the base.

    Children can't fit their fingers through the guards on a fan.

    Can you tell I'm sceptical:-D It may seem like I'm playing devils advocate but I really do think its pointless.
