Blank Add/Remove Programs List after "read and run me"

I have been over these forums before posting this, if the answer is already out there, I apologize. My cousin had asome viruses, I did the Read and Run Me First (Ive done this MANY TIMES on other computers, never had this problem) When I went into the Add/Remove Programs list, it was blank. There is no scroll down bar on the right, no words under the icons to the left, etc. I ran "Dial-A-Fix", Add-Remove Pro, Revo Uninstaller, and REGSVR32 APPWIZ.CPL. All to no avail, however, after running REGSVR32 it does tell me that it was successful, so I am not sure. One major thing i did do, was while using combofix, i installed the windows recovery console from the website. Combofix said i should so i told it to do so. Any help would be greatly appreciated! This site is AMAZING! Thank the makers.

 

Try chkdsk and scannow.

Thank you for your time..more embarrisingly, all I did was restart and it was there! Unless it comes back..I believe I have it solved. Thank you again.
