even w/o hearing the clip, "black one" doesn't fit in the sentence. and a further listen confirms that's not it.

ironically "one drop" almost fits in the sentence! but that's not it either.

fwiw, the hawn word for local/hawn is "kamakaina". the hawn word for outsider/caucasian is "haole". the hawn word for "half"-something (mixed race) is "hapa".

NONE of these sound like they are components, altho the context clearly cries out for some "hawaiian blood" term.
